DeLaurentis/Louviaux Scholarships for Mechanics


Named after the lead mechanic, Robert Louviaux, of the 2019-2020 Polar Circumnavigation of the Citizen of the World, two $3000 scholarships are being offered to mechanics who wish to continue their aviation education.  The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage deeper learning, shared accountability, and better communications between pilots and mechanics. To be considered for this honor, you must submit an application that has the following components:

  • A statement that includes paragraphs of each of these topics: Aviation/Mechanic career goals, current and future aviation educational plans, work experience, achievements related to aviation, details of initiative and leadership skills, and other interests and accomplishments. 
  • Two letters of recommendation from non-family members
  • Official transcripts from mechanics school showing a minimum of 3.0 G.P.A.
  • Current mailing address and school address
  • Current telephone number.

Scholarships must be postmarked by April 30th and sent to the following address:
